TCF Canada and TCF Quebec assess the same language skills: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking and writing. However, their purpose differs: TCF Canada is required for immigration proceedings to all Canadian provinces, whilst TCF Quebec is specifically intended for candidates immigrating to the province of Quebec.
Modular flexibility
TCF Quebec also presents an important feature: its modularity. Unlike TCF Canada, for which all components are compulsory, TCF Quebec allows candidates to choose only the components necessary according to the specific requirements of their immigration application. This flexibility addresses the cultural, administrative and linguistic realities specific to the province of Quebec.
