Medical French Training
Alliance Française de Kunming offers Medical French training, specially designed for healthcare professionals and medical students wishing to:
- Undertake a placement or practise in a French-speaking country.
- Study medicine in a French-speaking country.
- Improve their communication with French-speaking patients and colleagues.
- Obtain a recognised certification, the Diplôme de Français Professionnel Santé (DFP Santé), awarded by the Paris Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Learning objectives
- Master medical terminology in French.
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical personnel.
- Draft medical documents (care sheets, reports, prescriptions).
Training format
- 70 hours of training :
- B1 Medical : 35 hours in class + independent study.
- B2 Medical : 35 hours in class + independent study.
- Prerequisites : Level A2.2 of the CEFR.
Compulsory level assessment before commencing training.
- A 60-hour preparation is offered to candidates whose level is below A2.2.
Group training : Minimum five people.
The DFP Santé
- A lifelong diploma.
- Three levels available : B1, B2, C1.
- Target audience : Doctors, nurses, medical students, pharmacists, paramedical personnel.
DFP Santé fees
- A1 to B1 : 1800 CNY
- B2 to C1 : 2300 CNY
Certification is optional and is not included in the training fee.
Assessed competencies
- Complete a medical file.
- Write reports and prescriptions.
- Give preventative advice.
- Communicate effectively with French-speaking patients and colleagues.
