Nature DFP Speaking and interaction – Compulsory examination
Duration Between 5 and 15 minutes (depending on level)
Number of tasks 2 (Activity 1: Interaction; Activity 2: Presentation)

Expected skills

  • Exchange information in a professional situation and interact with your interlocutor
  • Develop clear arguments to persuade
  • Present a product, project or idea in a structured manner
  • Conduct a professional dialogue by asking relevant questions
  • Use precise vocabulary and expressions appropriate to the context
  • Maintain fluent and spontaneous communication

Assessment criteria

  • The examiner will assess your skills in oral interaction and spoken expression
  • They will guide the exchange and note your overall performance
  • The assessment will focus particularly on your ability to interact fluently and professionally

The assessment criteria include in particular:

  • Linguistic level (grammar, syntax, vocabulary precision and pronunciation)
  • Interaction ability and discourse structure (coherence and logical development)
  • Communication ease and your ability to manage a professional exchange
